Transportation

Run small errands for refugees using my own vehicle.Provide rides from the airport, to/from appointments, to/from shopping, etc. using my own vehicle.Load and transport donated furniture and household items to host family of refugees using my own van or truck.

Relational

Host an Afghan family in my home. (Although there may be exceptions, refugees may need to remain with the host family from 6-12 months.Join a support team (e.g., teach public transportation, navigate public school system, show where to access community resources, etc.).Teach English or be a language helper.Help with job search.Host Afghan family for a meal.

Administrative

Research information helpful to the Afghans (e.g. government benefits, health care, legal issues, etc.)Offer technical help (with online training sessions, website, etc.)Help with financial management and tracking

Training Orientation

Attend a training orientation designed for host families and all those who will have roles serving our Afghan friends.Learn more about building relationships with Muslims.

Item Donations

We currently need clothing and technology such as computers, iPads and mobile phones either new or in good or great condition.
